Published date : 28 Nov 2017

MSP CONGRATULATES THREE LOCAL GROUPS ON THEIR SUCCESSFUL LOTTERY FUNDING

Jeane Freeman, constituency MSP for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley has congratulated Catrine Community Trust, Girvan Christmas Street Party and CREATE on their successful applications for National Lottery Funding.

Catrine Community Trust will deliver a range of community activities based on the theme of the 12 days of Christmas, commencing in November 2017. This project will begin with a Christmas lights switch on and culminate with a community pantomime.

Girvan Christmas Street Party will use the funding to organise and deliver their annual festive street party in Girvan town centre on the 3rd December 2017.

CREATE (Cumnock and Doon Valley Area) will work in partnership with local organisations to build on the success of Cumnock Christmas Festival 2016 by delivering a community family event in Cumnock town centre on 24th November 2017.

Congratulating the local groups, Jeane Freeman MSP said:

“This is excellent news for Catrine Community Trust, Girvan Christmas Street Party and CREATE who all have fantastic festive plans.

“Once again I’m grateful to the National Lottery for their support which continues to benefit many of my constituents in Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley."
